Career biography
With over two decades of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory strategy, Maï has been a driving force behind SCOR’s legal and regulatory evolution since 2007, where she currently serves as Deputy Group Chief Legal & Compliance Counsel.
After spending almost eight years at leading law firms as an M&A and private equity lawyer, Maï’s journey at SCOR has been marked by a steady progression through roles of increasing responsibility, reflecting both deep technical expertise and a distinctive approach to legal leadership. Having joined as Senior Corporate Counsel, Maï went on to hold key positions including Group Head of Corporate Finance and M&A, Group General Counsel – Corporate, and Group General & Regulatory Counsel, before assuming her current role in July 2023. In this capacity, she now co-leads SCOR’s global legal and compliance team, overseeing complex legal projects and contributing to the strategic direction of the group’s legal function.
Maï has led the legal and regulatory structuring of major international growth operations, overseen high-profile M&A, private equity, and venture capital transactions, and managed the legal coordination of a significant cross-border merger spanning 42 jurisdictions and involving 200 internal stakeholders. These achievements highlight her strategic insight and ability to deliver value in high-pressure, high-stakes contexts.
Beyond her transactional expertise, Maï has been instrumental in transforming and revitalising SCOR’s legal department, establishing and managing international communities of practice, and leading regulatory compliance programmes such as the group-wide implementation of DORA. Her commitment to governance and compliance is complemented by a strong focus on digital transformation and intellectual property protection. A trusted adviser to the C-suite, Maï is recognised for her collaborative leadership style, fostering cross-functional engagement and nurturing talent within a diverse, international team.
Maï’s academic background includes a General Management Programme at Harvard Business School, the French Bar qualification, and a DJCE from the University of Rennes.
