The legal team at the property and causality insurer Chubb Argentina is comprised of three employees who report into the CEO and general counsel of the company in Latin America. Headed by experienced corporate counsel Ignacio Salguero, the team deals with a plethora of issues to protect the insurer’s business in Argentina ranging from negotiating and preparing various commercial agreements to providing internal and external legal advice on corporate transactions and supervising complex corporate litigations. The team received particular praise for its contribution to Chubb’s 2015 acquisition by ACE (the largest insurance M&A deal in history) by coordinating the transaction locally. Characterised by a ‘can-do attitude‘ to work, the team is focused on solving problems in the fastest and most proactive way possible. ‘We are proud of developing a problem- solving approach culture in our team’, Salguero says.
