Pavel Rozehnal, group chief legal and compliance officer of Home Credit International, explains that the company is currently undergoing ‘the most substantial corporate restructuring since its origination to increase its strategic flexibility at various levels’, with the company’s legal function playing a vital role in this. ‘As well as the internal restructuring of the group, we have taken part in the investment of a major private equity firm into Home Credit China and the divestment of Home Credit Group Operations in Belarus’, he explains. ‘We also took part in a €650m syndicated loan funding to the Home Credit Group holding company, which included 18 financing institutions’.
