Founded in 1819, Mirabaud & Cie is one of the oldest banks in Switzerland and has historically played a key role in the development of the Swiss financial system, helping co-found the Geneva Stock Exchange in 1857. The company’s wealth management legal team is structured in a way that follows the departments of litigation, inheritance matters, authorities’ requests and group projects with the Swiss Financial Services Act, IT, fintechs and the set-up of new group entities. On the project side, the legal team has played a key role in implementing MiFID II and GDPR directives within the group. Additionally, the legal team played an important role in regard to the regulatory and contractual set-up of the new Mirabaud entities in Abu Dhabi, Brazil and Uruguay. ‘Clients are at the centre of our attention.
