Career Biography

I am a Legal Director with over 15 years of experience advising multinational companies, including companies in the energy sector. I hold a double degree in Law and Business Administration, a Master’s in Corporate Legal Advisory and a Master’s in Marketing, and I am a member of the Seville Bar Association. Before joining Solarig, I worked at firms such as Ontier and Fenoy & Sepúlveda, advising on corporate law, M&A and litigation, and gained experience in intellectual property and audit, as well as serving as a court appointed legal aid lawyer.

What are the most significant cases, projects and/or transactions that you and/or your legal team have recently been involved in?

Over the past year, Solarig’s O&M business has expanded across photovoltaic, BESS, wind, high voltage and biomethane activities, operating across more than a dozen jurisdictions and both civil law and common law systems.

In this context, and as Legal Director, I have led the structuring and negotiation of complex O&M agreements, personally participating in more than 600 maintenance contracts, including multi-jurisdictional projects. A key milestone has been my involvement in macro-O&M projects of up to 800 MW, requiring sophisticated risk allocation and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

I have also contributed to the early-stage legal structuring of Solarig’s biomethane business, focusing on the contractual framework for full scope O&M services, within a still evolving regulatory environment.

Another relevant achievement has been the negotiation of strategic BESS agreements with leading global players such as Tesla, requiring alignment of technical standards, performance guarantees and regulatory frameworks, in a context where storage is increasingly critical to address renewable curtailment and support demand such as data centres.

Additionally, I have supported cross border projects, including EPC related work in Japan, and participated in the legal strategy and coordination, together with external counsel, of arbitration proceedings and complex claims across multiple jurisdictions.

How does your team contribute to the overall business strategy of the company?

I see legal as a key enabler of any company, with a special mention of Solarig, where I now work, of its international growth. Operating across multiple jurisdictions requires ensuring that contractual frameworks are scalable, enforceable and adaptable, particularly when combining civil law and common law systems.

A core part of my role is the proactive mitigation of regulatory and contractual risk in a highly regulated sector, ensuring alignment between contracts, operations and applicable legal frameworks.

From a strategic perspective, I contribute by developing standardised yet flexible contractual models, supporting expansion into new technologies such as biomethane and BESS, and enabling growth in a controlled and sustainable manner. In this context, the use of AI is becoming a key strategic factor, allowing us to improve efficiency while maintaining high standards of quality and excellence.
