My current position is Legal and Compliance Counsel, and I have 16 years of legal experience in the NGO, FMCG and Life Sciences industries. In recent years, I have had the privilege of managing the legal activities associated with the Crop Science division of Bayer in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. This role has been both challenging and rewarding, allowing me to contribute to significant projects that drive our business forward while keeping our customers at the heart of everything we do.

Some of my more notable projects include leading the local implementation of internal GDPR legislation as well as various other European norms. Adapting to these regulatory changes not only ensured compliance but also positioned Bayer as a proactive leader in the industry. I also manage the litigation strategy for cases within my area of responsibility, ensuring the protection of the company’s commercial interests and upholding its reputation in the market.

Additionally, besides supporting day-to-day business matters, I have worked on the entire contractual framework, from standard contracts to complex agreements linked to introducing new and innovative products to the market, as well as on IP topics and antitrust matters.

With a deep commitment to agricultural innovation, a highlight of my past year has been shaping the legal framework that enables farmers to benefit from digital solutions. My work was instrumental in bringing transformative tools such as FieldView to our customers, ensuring they have secure access to valuable insights and data-driven recommendations. My dedication to protecting farmers’ interests while facilitating technological advancement demonstrates Bayer’s commitment to putting customers first and supporting their success in modern agriculture.

Furthermore, I have worked collaboratively with various teams to ensure that Bayer’s operations align with best practices and regulatory standards, fostering a culture of compliance and integrity within our organisation. Moreover, I have managed our local compliance programmes, including annual training and reviews, to ensure that our team remains well informed and aligned with best practices.

Reflecting on the recent past years, it has been a period filled with relevant projects driven by the need for innovation and digitalisation.
