What are the projects that you are most proud of working on over the past 12 months?

I was end responsible from CCV’s legal side on an M&A transaction, in which CCV was acquired by Fiserv. I was key in dismantling a joint venture in Germany and converting it to a commercial relationship. I also played an active role in restructuring the organisation.

What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?

To look at the business from a commercial perspective rather than a legal perspective and use your legal knowledge to add value.

Based on your experiences in the past year, are there any trends in the legal or business world that you are keeping an eye on, of which you think other in-house lawyers should be mindful?

The ever-increasing regulatory burden from Europe and making it manageable for the organisation.
