Boasting a highly capable set of lawyers based across the Middle East, North Africa and elsewhere, Americana’s legal team is tasked with safeguarding the fortunes of perhaps the most prominent food manufacturing and distributing company in the Middle East; it currently employs approximately 60,000 individuals across 1,800 restaurants and 29 food production sites. The legal team has had to contend with a busy 24 months for the company, it being effectively taken over by investment firm Adeptio in a multi-billion dollar deal which led to the company’s de-listing from the Boursa Kuwait in 2017. The legal function has been heavily involved in the major restructure that followed this move, and has now reconfigured to the new corporate realities of a privately-owned company.
