IDEAL is a major Mexican engineering company specialising in the development, promotion, operation and administration of infrastructure projects across Mexico. It combines experience in the engineering sector with financial planning and project management. The legal team, with its 25 lawyers, is led by Carlos Facha, general counsel. It is supported by legal subdirector, Pamela Mujica. Previously recognised in the GC Powerlist: Mexico series for its prowess in environmental and construction legal sector knowledge, the team has gone from strength to strength. It has reduced the structure to be more efficient and is no longer only in charge of the legal affairs of the company, but also in charge of government relations, environmental, and health and safety. The team has also handled major investment deals with overseas investors. Facha identifies that the team is doing ‘more with less’ and it ‘always tries to see how can things be done and not the otherway. Our vision is to do more with less resources but in every case with the same degree of care’.
