Karla is an outstanding Mexican attorney with more than a decade of professional experience in notarial, administrative, and corporate law.

Her career began at Notary Office No. 116 in Mexico City under the mentorship of Notary Ignacio Morales Lechuga, where she gained knowledge and experience in drafting deeds, managing administrative procedures, and providing notarial advice.

Later, she served as a Legal Analyst at the Taxpayer Defense Attorney’s Office (PRODECON), where she specialized in drafting and reviewing contracts, internal regulations, and compliance in matters of transparency and personal data protection. Her advice was key to ensuring compliance with INAI regulations and the General Law on Personal Data Protection, as well as the classification of sensitive information.

She currently works as an In-House Corporate Lawyer at Sigma Alimentos, where she leads the legal strategy and regulatory compliance of one of the most relevant companies in Mexico’s food sector, consolidating a career of impact with tangible results.

Her academic background is solid and ongoing: she holds a Law degree from UNAM, a Diploma in Business and Corporate Law, and recently completed a Specialization in Business Law at the same university. This academic profile is complemented by skills in technological tools that allow her to integrate digital innovation into legal management.

Among her most notable achievements is the establishment of a condominium property regime for 200 apartments at Notary Office No. 116 in Mexico City, a highly complex project that ensured harmonious coexistence, asset protection, and legal security for hundreds of families. Her vision and legal rigor were also reflected at PRODECON, where she implemented privacy notices and specific confidentiality and archiving guidelines, safeguarding the human right to personal data protection and the confidentiality of highly sensitive tax and personal information of taxpayers.

At Sigma Alimentos, she has raised the standard of corporate legal advice by negotiating contracts with strategic national and international suppliers, securing optimal conditions for the company in terms of cost, timelines, quality, and accountability. Additionally, she has achieved the recovery of financial resources in cases of non-compliance, promoted the adoption of technological tools, and provided key advice on strategic and business projects, consolidating Sigma as a benchmark of excellence and growth in the sector.

She currently leads the implementation of a robust compliance system, aiming to position Sigma Alimentos as a company of best practices and market evolution, thereby strengthening the organization’s corporate governance.

Recognized for her leadership, strategic thinking, business vision, effective communication, and commitment to continuous improvement, her professional goal is to continue contributing experience and legal insight to strengthen organizational legal structures, optimize internal processes, and support decision-making that drives institutional development and excellence in the corporate legal sector.
