What are the most significant cases, projects or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?

As with many multinationals operating in India, our biggest focus has been to walk the tight rope between localisation requirements, such as ‘Make In India’ and supporting the needs of a global business. This has included interpreting local regulations while working under the umbrella of international regulations. This along with ensuring that we can efficiently support our India        business using Legal tech tools and AI, have been the most significant projects my team has been involved in this year.   

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

For me resilience is not just about surviving a crisis, it is about building capacity which can handle sudden changes or disruptions. In simple terms, it’s not just about that moment but about seeing into the future and ensuring that your systems are robust using a mix of the right people and technical tools which will enable us to overcome emergencies. This is a constant, ongoing process, and something we ensure we keep on our list of things of priorities even in ‘peacetime’.
