In 2015, the legal team has assisted Veolia in extending its European platform for the treatment of hazardous waste with the acquisition of the only specialised incineration facility in Spain. As part of this project, the team has helped in the integration of the Constanti facility into the European platform from hazardous waste, treating and recovering 2.9 million metric tons of hazardous waste a year. The legal department are central to the company maintaining its reputation as a global leader in optimised resource management, giving support in regulatory issues and business activities that help supply 94 million people with drinking water, 62 million people with wastewater services and 54 million megawatt hours of energy, converting 38 million metric tons of water waste into new materials and energy.
