How can general counsel foster a corporate culture that supports ESG principles and compliance across all levels of the organisation?

A general counsel should lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to ESG values in their work and decisions. They must ensure that an ESG policy is in place to guide the organisation in its operations, provide regular training and workshops on ESG, and initiate or encourage practices across the business that allow for the preparation of ESG reports. The general counsel should also regularly review ESG compliance and report to the Board and stakeholders.

I am passionate about corporate governance, women’s empowerment, mentoring, data privacy, labour relations, cybersecurity, and healthcare.
