Career Biography

Elorm Amenumey Adagwine is the Company Secretary and Head of Legal &

Compliance at SUNU Assurances Ghana LTD. With a career spanning over 13 years

post-call experience in litigation and corporate practice, she has become a strategic

leader integrating legal insight, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance

within Ghana’s financial sector.

Her legal career transitioned from her role as an Associate at Puozuing and Associates

(mainly litigation practice) into corporate practice roles at major banks (uniBank Ghana

Limited and Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited) before she joined SUNU Assurances

Ghana LTD. Her expertise, honed through financial sectors such as banking and

Insurance, now covers litigation management, corporate secretarial duties, regulatory

compliance, and board oversight. She is responsible for the strategic oversight and

integrity of the company’s Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism

(AML/CFT) compliance, leading program implementation, staff training, and direct

liaison with regulatory authorities. She is as a Notary Public and a Certified ESG

Practitioner.

Elorm holds an LLM (Law for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises), LLB and BA

(English and Information Studies) from the University of Ghana. She is a qualified

Barrister and Solicitor and a member of the Ghana Bar Association. She combines

technical legal skill with forward-thinking leadership, guiding her organisation with a

focus on integrity, sustainability, and strong corporate citisenship. Beyond her

professional role, she contributes to community development as a member of the

Rotary Club.
