Career biography

She holds a law degree cum laude from the National University Pedro Henríquez Ureña. She has completed postgraduate studies in Labour Law and Social Security at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and in Consumer Law at the University of Valencia, Spain, as well as an MBA in Business Administration at the University of Quebec, Montreal.

She has also been trained as a Latin American expert in Labour Law at the Training Centre of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and at the Universities of Bologna and Castilla La Mancha. She also completed specialised studies in Airport Law at Yale University. She completed specialised studies as a compliance officer at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain.

She has worked as assistant lawyer to the legal adviser to the executive branch, as director of the legal and regulatory department at Codetel, and as director of the legal department at Opitel and Verizon International Teleservices. She has also served as a business consultant and national consultant for the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

She currently serves as legal and regulatory director of the Grupo Punta Cana.

She has been a member of the Drafting and Reviewing Committees for several bills and regulations in the Dominican Republic, as well as a representative of the employer sector on several Boards of Directors of national organisations and associations.

She teaches at several universities and training centres in the Dominican Republic, in undergraduate, postgraduate and master’s programmes.

She has been recognised by Legal 500 in several editions of the GC Powerlist Dominican Republic. She is a member of the Arbitration and ADR Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as well as an academic Collaborator of the UN Tourism Observatory of Tourism Law for Latin America and the Caribbean and a member of the board of directors of the World Association of Airport Lawyers.
