Career biography

With a strong academic foundation in International Financial Law and more than seven years of dedicated legal practice, I have developed specialised expertise in cross-border transactions, capital markets, and corporate legal strategy. My career has been shaped by a commitment to delivering strategic and commercially grounded legal solutions that support business growth while effectively mitigating complex risks.

In my current role as Legal Director, I design and lead the company’s overseas restructuring strategy, working closely with international legal and financial advisors to build a resilient global framework. I also oversee the management of our cross-border intellectual property portfolio, directing trademark and patent strategy, and proactively identifying and addressing potential infringement risks.

I previously served as lead counsel for the NASDAQ listing of Virax Biolabs (VRAX), providing full-cycle legal guidance from initial structuring through to its successful public offering. This experience demonstrates my ability to connect innovative companies with global capital markets. I continue to leverage this expertise in advising several biotechnology and film-investment companies on their ongoing overseas listing initiatives.

I have also led significant cross-border mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries. My work includes representing ZWSoft (688083) in its strategic acquisition of the UK-based CHAM, advising a provincial state-owned enterprise on its RMB 800 million acquisition of a Hong Kong-listed company, and supporting State Power Investment Corporation (Guangdong) in its cumulative RMB 1.2 billion acquisition of a diversified renewable energy portfolio.

In addition, I have provided essential legal support for complex financing and fund-management activities, including the issuance of offshore USD bonds and green mid-term notes for a major corporate group—efforts that have enabled multi-billion-renminbi financings. I also played a pivotal role in establishing a RMB 1 billion Greater Bay Area investment fund and have guided numerous private fund managers through regulatory registrations and major compliance reforms.

Together, these experiences reflect a career dedicated to strengthening corporate resilience, enabling global expansion, and driving value through sophisticated legal leadership.
