As corporate counsel, vice president of human resources and the chief privacy officer for H&R Block Canada (HRB), Angela Jackson leads the highly respected in-house legal function at the international bank’s Canadian operation. Jackson’s team acts as a trusted advisor on human resources policies and practices to ensure that they reflect employment standards and comply with the occupational health and safety legislation. In addition to human resources matters, the team handles HRB’s privacy framework including all privacy policies, client facing documents, breach reporting practices and associate training. It is also in charge of revising CASL compliance policies and practices that are critical to the business.
