How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

We always seek to improve our internal processes and governance, and to stay up to date with new standards and legislation, as well as new technologies and tools. The goal is to keep the “house” in order and with the best practices and functioning in a systemic way. In this way, we understand that we will always be ready for urgent and unexpected demands, which is also part of our routine. In addition, it is always important to pay attention and improve our communication with different audiences and partners. This will also be essential in crisis situations and major challenges.

What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

First, together with my Real Estate team, we participated in the opening of more than 90 units in December/2024 alone, which even entered the Guinness Book – a world record for opening gyms in one month. In 2024, there were 300 new gyms (Brazil and other countries). Second, during the last months of last year and the beginning of this year, I was responsible for the Company’s Compliance area, covering the leave of a colleague, which allowed me to develop other skills, in addition to participating in relevant investigations in other countries where the Company operates.

What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?

Without a doubt, AI – artificial intelligence – has greatly facilitated some activities, making work increasingly strategic and saving time on repetitive activities and/or activities involving a large volume of information, allowing for safer and more assertive decision-making.

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

The vast majority of the team is made up of women, and as important as hiring women is offering an environment of respect and equal opportunities.

In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently (these can be legal, political, economy or business-based)?

Services related to health and well-being. In addition to new requirements and regulations related to mental health.
