Peter Tehan handles all legal and regulatory support across Beyond’s broad international media business. Since it began in 1984, the business has produced several leading TV titles, and developed sizeable international distribution and digital businesses. During his 13 years with the business, Tehan has helped build the legal function in line with the business’ rapidly expanding global footprint. The 2005 establishment of Beyond’s home entertainment business, which is now the second largest independent distributor in Australia and New Zealand is testament to this expansion. One of his central achievements has been in developing a coherent litigation strategy, and sources praise his sensitive and strategic handling of complex disputes. Tehan began his career at Allens, where he specialised in trade practices and M&A.
