‘A dedicated professional’, during 26 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, Gavin Ryan has managed a diverse range of projects across more than 30 countries. These have included Shell’s $2.4bn acquisition of Arrow Energy in 2010, and its 2011 purchase of Bow Energy. As PTTEP’s GC, he heads all legal, insurance and company secretarial matters at the Thai SOE’s Australian base. Known for his deep sector knowledge, Ryan has won respect for his considerable contribution to the organisation’s national compliance framework. With past experience also including BHP Petroleum and British Petroleum, he has practised in Australia and the UK.
