What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?

I think it is important to highlight that the concept of work changed radically because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Companies in general, and legal departments in particular, faced this changes that involved remote work, digitisation of documentation, data privacy issues, and rebuilt processes. So, adapting quickly to these changes was the first challenge.

As special matters, two milestones could be mention for the legal department at Fresenius Medical Care Argentina. The first one was Apttus regional implementation, which incorporates lifecycle contract management, including electronic signature.

What will be the main focus for the company in the next 12 months and how do you intend to assist with this?

In the next 12 months, the company will deal with the complex scenarios that arise locally. Therefore, will be focusing on reducing the footprint and the exposure to commercial, legal, and labour risk. Our job will be to assist board of directors in the implementation of plans to gain operational efficiencies, reviewing legislation changes to adjust internal procedures and monitoring the claims development.

What do you feel is the best way to get more women into in-house legal leadership positions?

I believe that the best way to get more women into leadership positions is supporting the change process that society has started. Every act or decision with a gender perspective counts, as advantages are widely known, with different perspectives and approaches having a positive impact in the workplace and in inspiring younger generations.
