Career Biography

Meimuna is an accomplished legal and governance professional with over fifteen years of post-admission experience, including more than a decade as in-house counsel in the banking sector. She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Secretary, with extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, regulatory compliance, contract management, legal risk management and corporate governance. 

Meimuna holds a Master of Laws from the University of Warwick, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi. 

She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Secretaries, Kenya. Her combination of legal expertise, banking-sector experience and governance training positions her as a versatile professional committed to ethical practice, regulatory compliance, sound governance and effective institutional decision-making.
