Strategic consumer claims, whether judicial or administrative; significant labor claims; and disputes in arbitration.

What new pressures are you facing from the business as expectations for legal to act as a strategic partner continue to grow? 

Continuous learning, always… whether it’s in relation to new technologies, such as AI, which is now widely discussed and must be used to gain scale and productivity; constant updating on legislative changes, for example, tax reform and the new civil code; and never neglecting self-knowledge and the development of soft skills, relationship skills, people management, identifying and developing talent.

What strategies has your legal team adopted to manage disputes and mitigate risks in Brazil’s dynamic business environment? 

To constantly create and review our workflows and procedures, not only in the Legal department, but also in other areas involved, such as Human Resources, Operations, and Customer Relations. To always be close to client areas, conducting training and exchanging experiences. In addition, to always be attentive to legislative updates.
