Career Biography

Having previously led the legal departments for General Motors Canada and General Motors Korea, Peter Cho now serves as the Vice-President and Lead Counsel for General Motors Europe. In this role, Peter oversees all legal matters across the European region. As a key member of the executive leadership team, Peter has played a significant role in shaping the legal and business strategies for General Motors’ recent re-entry into the European market.

Before joining General Motors, Peter was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Volkswagen Group Canada. Additionally, he held the position of Senior Director of Business Strategy and Management for Volkswagen Group China in Beijing. Throughout his career, Peter has successfully navigated various legal systems and regulatory environments while building high-performing teams across multiple countries.
