Career Biography

Thandeka Mdebuka is an admitted Attorney with over 20 years PQE. Her legal compliance career experience spans from various legal compliance functions that include legal advocacy, contract management, enterprise and regulatory risk management , general litigation, etc. In her career journey, Ms. Mdebuka served at the following institutions and capacities: Mothuloe-Pondo Attorneys: Candidate Attorney; Motlhe Jooma Sabdia Incorporated (Pretoria): Professional Assistant; Department of LaThandeka Nhlekobour :Legal Advisor; Mothuloe Attorneys: Senior Associate ; Imperial Group(Car Rental Division): Legal and Compliance Executive Manager. Thandeka joined Air Traffic and Navigation Services in 2015 as a Senior Manager, Legal and Compliance, and was promoted to Executive Legal and Compliance in 2018. In 2023, Thandeka successfully held the position of ATNS Chief Strategy on acting capacity whilst the process of appointing a permanent incumbent was underway.

Ms. Mdebuka holds a Master of Laws in Mercantile Law (University of Pretoria), LLB (University of Durban Westville), Imperial Executive Development Programme (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and GRC certificate from the University of Witwatersrand.
