Career Biography

Alexandra Radu is the Group General Counsel at E-INFRA, a leading infrastructure and energy group in Romania with over 28 years of experience. In this role, she leads the Group’s legal and compliance strategy, contributing decisively to corporate governance, regulatory alignment, and sustainable business growth. She has been involved in strategic projects of national importance, often working alongside partners with extensive international experience, ensuring legal robustness and alignment with complex regulatory frameworks.

With over 20 years of experience in corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and competition law, Alexandra has built a distinguished career in both international and Romanian law firms. She began her legal journey after graduating from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Law, followed by a master’s degree in business law, and became a member of the Bucharest Bar in 2006.

She spent more than a decade at one of the largest international law firms active in Romania, progressing from junior lawyer to senior associate, gaining extensive experience in cross-border M&A, corporate restructuring, and competition matters. She later held senior leadership roles, including partner and head of corporate and M&A practices, coordinating multidisciplinary legal teams within a Romanian full-service business law firm with regional reach, and subsequently within a boutique firm known for its strategic focus on corporate, M&A, and finance matters.

Her transactional expertise covers industries such as energy, banking, telecom, real estate, and technology. Alexandra has advised on some of the most significant and high-impact cross-border and domestic deals in Romania and the CEE region, including the acquisition of a major Romanian bank by a state-owned financial institution, a strategic investment by a global private equity firm in a leading regional gaming operator, and the acquisition of industrial assets in the chemicals sector by a key regional player. These transactions were publicly recognised as some of the largest and most influential deals in Romania, receiving awards at the Ziarul Financiar Gala for excellence in business and finance.

In competition law, Alexandra has successfully represented clients before the Romanian Competition Council in merger clearance procedures and investigations, helping secure approvals for high-profile transactions and mitigating antitrust risks.

Since 2021, Alexandra has also been the founder of her own law office, where she continues to provide strategic legal counsel in complex commercial and transactional matters. Her practice includes advising clients active in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure, telecom, construction, and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) sectors. This dual role has allowed her to combine the agility of private practice with the strategic depth of in-house leadership, offering a unique perspective on risk management, regulatory compliance, and business transformation.

She is also a thought leader in the legal community, having authored articles and spoken at conferences on M&A, private equity, and competition law. Her leadership style is defined by clarity, collaboration, and a strong ethical compass.
