Career Biography

Łukasz Sobiech has been an attorney at law since 2011. Until the end of February 2026, he was Director of the Legal Department at BGK and, since March 2026, Managing Director of the Legal and Regulatory Division at Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego. He leads a team of more than fifty lawyers responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the bank and advising on key financial, investment and development projects implemented by BGK.

He specialises in banking law, civile law, project finance, structured finance, export finance and regulatory matters concerning the activities of financial institutions. He advises on complex structured financings, restructurings and equity investments, as well as on transactions related to raising debt financing by the bank for the benefit of the Armed Forces Support Fund. In his practice, he combines legal advisory work with practical business support in the execution of complex projects.
