What are the key projects that you have been involved in over the past twelve months?
International expansion: launching the Allegro platform in Hungary (Q4 2024), completing the regional rollout strategy that followed earlier entries into the Czech Republic (2023) and Slovakia (2024). I acted as the Leader fully responsible for delivering the critical workstreams of Legal, Tax, Compliance, Privacy, and Finance. By overcoming these complex regulatory and financial challenges, Allegro has expanded the total addressable market by nearly 26 million potential customers. Reflecting this success the international segment’s performance generated ~PLN 738m in Gross Merchandise Value in 3Q2025. Secondly, the global retail model transformation. I served as a core workstream leader in the Group’s strategic transformation of its retail operations into a unified model operated by one company across Poland, Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary. This initiative replaced a highly fragmented legacy structure where sales within individual countries were managed by multiple Group companies. Leading the Legal, Compliance, and Governance workstreams, I managed multi-jurisdictional regulatory challenges while cooperating with cross-functional teams across Commerce,
Operations, and Technology. The project significantly reduced operational complexity and capital intensity as well as It improved profitability.
What are the key trends that in-house counsel should be monitoring in 2026?
In my view, the key trend for 2026 is the transition of the legal function into a strategic value creator driven by AI. I believe we must look beyond internal efficiency provided by AI and focus on how AI can empower the business to deliver superior customer experiences. To my mind, this requires shifting from a “gatekeeper” to an “enabler”: we must actively facilitate innovation.
Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting?
A defining moment in my career was providing legal support for the IPO of the Luxembourg-based dominant company of Allegro Group on the Warsaw Stock Exchange – the largest stock debut in Poland’s history to date. This project was a uniquely complex dual-jurisdiction effort, requiring the harmonization of Polish and Luxembourgish regulatory frameworks to establish a compliant public entity. To ensure the success of this transition, I relocated to Luxembourg for over 7 months.
