Career Biography
Rania Mosrie is a senior legal professional with over 15 years of experience spanning intellectual property, luxury retail, and FMCG. She began her career in private practice with a focus on intellectual property law, where she built a strong foundation in brand protection, enforcement, and advisory work. Supporting clients across diverse industries, she quickly came to appreciate how intellectual property strategy underpins commercial success.
Eager to gain in-house experience and broaden her perspective, Mosrie joined Chalhoub Group, the leading regional luxury retail and distribution group in the Middle East. She managed trademark portfolios, oversaw enforcement actions, and advised on brand protection strategies to safeguard some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands. This role offered invaluable insight into the commercial realities of a large retail group operating across the region and underscored the crucial role that intellectual property plays in maintaining brand equity in the luxury sector.
Following her time in luxury retail, Mosrie transitioned into the FMCG sector, where she has spent the past eleven years leading regional legal teams at Reckitt and Kraft Heinz. She has advised on a wide range of matters across the Middle East and Africa and worked closely with leadership teams to align legal strategy with business objectives, balancing risk management with growth ambitions in highly competitive and rapidly evolving markets.
Equally central to her journey has been team leadership. Mosrie believes that effective legal functions must go beyond risk management to act as trusted business partners. Over the years, she has built and mentored high-performing legal teams, fostering cultures that emphasise adaptability, commercial awareness, and solution-oriented thinking. She takes particular pride in creating environments where legal professionals contribute proactively to business strategy, anticipating challenges and opportunities rather than merely reacting to them.
Bringing together her early grounding in intellectual property with over a decade of senior in-house leadership in FMCG, Mosrie has built a career at the intersection of law, business, and strategy. Her journey reflects a consistent ability to adapt across industries, navigate complexity, and deliver practical, commercially sound legal solutions in multicultural environments.
Looking ahead, Mosrie remains passionate about applying her legal expertise and leadership experience to help organisations thrive in an increasingly interconnected and regulated world. Whether protecting brand equity, enabling business expansion, or mentoring the next generation of legal talent, she is driven by the challenge of transforming legal complexity into strategic opportunity.
