How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
Today, challenges are constant, so we must keep an open mind to accept, analyse, and solve them. This is in accordance with applicable legislation and business interests. Always based on personal and professional ethics that make these challenges as easy and pragmatic as possible to overcome.
What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
I’m currently involved in a very important corporate project for the company, which involves the creation of a new legal entity to which we must transfer brands, assets, employees, etc. Therefore, all the legal and corporate movement required is very interesting (as well as stressful), but in the end, there is the satisfaction of seeing the achievements obtained, both personally and professionally.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
In addition to my legal duties, I like to promote inclusion and support just causes. That’s why I ran for and was elected to lead the “Social Justice” ERG. I’m always looking for new actions that can generate significant change in people’s lives.
At the Social Justice ERG, we are committed to supporting social causes that contribute to continuous improvement and the search for a balance in the opportunities we have. Additionally, on issues of inclusion, we collaborate with other ERGs to ensure appropriate inclusion regarding gender, race, orientation, disabilities, and more.
We have several projects that we schedule and support to generate social awareness and understanding. This is to create an inclusive world, where it’s not seen as something “new,” but something that is already established and continues to permeate over time.
Actions will always help us generate change, and I’m happy to collaborate with a company that allows us to do this for the benefit of its employees.
