What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

In recent months, I’ve been actively involved in a range of high-impact matters spanning advising on investment opportunities, corporate structuring, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation across jurisdictions. 

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

My approach is to be proactive, risk-aware, and closely aligned with the organisation’s overall strategy. I start by identifying critical legal risks that may arise – such as contractual liabilities, regulatory exposure, or workforce challenges – and establishing rapid-response protocols to address them. At the same time, I work closely with senior leadership to ensure that legal decisions support continuity, protect core operations, and maintain stakeholder trust. 

My legal strategy is not isolated; it’s designed to support broader business objectives. This integration of legal insight into strategic decision-making helps build resilience and ensures that the organisation not only reacts to crises but emerges stronger and more adaptable. 

What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?

Emerging technologies such as generative AI are having – and will continue to have – the most significant impact on the legal profession. AI-driven tools are already transforming contract review, legal research, and document automation, improving both speed and accuracy. 

To stay current, I regularly engage with legal tech publications, attend industry webinars, and participate in professional networks where innovation is discussed. I also encourage my team to pilot emerging tools where appropriate, so we learn by doing. This approach ensures that we’re not just informed, but actively adapting to maintain our strategic edge. 

How does your team contribute to the overall business strategy of the company? Can you share an example of a recent legal-led initiative that had a significant impact?

Our legal team plays a proactive role in shaping and supporting the company’s business strategy by identifying legal risks early, enabling compliant growth, and helping structure deals and operations in a way that balances innovation with protection. We don’t just react to issues—we contribute to strategic planning, especially in areas like regulatory compliance, contracts, data privacy, and ESG. 

One recent example is when our team led negotiations of key agreements to improve commercial terms, reduce risk exposure, and ensure sustained operations. This legal-led initiative enabled my organisation to take a swift investment decision. It demonstrated how legal can drive measurable business outcomes when involved from the start.
