Christian Unsinn has been the general counsel for the German DDB Group since 2010, and managing director for DDB Germany Group of Companies, the holding company of the DDB Group, since 2015. The German DDB Group consist of more than a dozen agencies and legal entities. His legal team specialises in advertising law (media law, copyright law, trademark law, unfair competition, and internet law), employment law and contract law. Recently, he has been involved in some major group-level projects, for example, the transfer of DDB Group’s shared-services centre to ad agencyservices, and a merger of SALT WORKS and Heye into DDB München. Going forward, Unsinn sees an increasing focus on ‘cost-efficiency, industry 4.0, speed, complexity and attracting top talent from competitors’ as among the in-house lawyers’ main future considerations.
