Mr Tan Jun has more than 25 years’ experience in corporate legal affairs. He previously served as Legal Director of Baidu and as a senior expert at the Baidu Legal Research Centre. He also holds positions as a council member of the China Copyright Association, Vice President of the Beijing Network Law Research Association, and council member of the Network Governance and Data Information Research Association of the Shanghai Law Society.
Mr Tan joined Baidu in March 2006 and has served as Legal Consultant, Senior Legal Manager, and Legal Director. During his tenure at Baidu, he was responsible for domestic compliance development, litigation, copyright, trade marks, and related matters. He participated in and successfully handled numerous major and complex litigation cases and crisis events, including litigation between Baidu and record companies such as Universal, Warner, and Sony, as well as major series of litigation between Baidu and 360, and Baidu and ByteDance.
Mr Tan holds an LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property from Peking University and a Chinese lawyer’s practising qualification certificate. He is also an arbitrator at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration.
