What projects are you most proud to have worked on over the past 12 months?

Scaling our AI-powered product tools with responsible AI governance and transparency for our users and stakeholders has been extremely rewarding as we are able to measure the impact for both students and post-secondary institutions with quality applications and improved outcomes for all.

Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting?

Leading the creation and scaling of the legal, privacy, trust and data governance functions at two very different complex mission-driven organizations has been unique and fulfilling.

How does your team contribute to the overall business strategy of the company?

We truly are an enabling function with our business and strategy teams across the organization. We maintain extremely high trust relationships throughout the company and as a result we are included early in many new initiatives (and not as an afterthought) which we are extremely proud of. We also have our own internal department mission and mantra that prioritizes agility, creative problem solving and driving practical business outcomes every day. We are integrated cross-functionally across the organization and utilize a one-team mentality to ensure the company OKRs are imbued with our team division’s input and, in turn, we ensure that we integrate the company’s OKRs into our own deliverable every day.
