Pauline Wong is General Counsel at Canadian Solar, one of the world’s largest solar-technology and renewable-energy companies, with more than 15,000 employees globally and annual revenues of nearly US$6 billion. In her role, Pauline provides legal guidance and support across Canadian Solar’s global operations, manufacturing, and project-development activities, helping to navigate the complex legal landscape of a rapidly changing energy industry.
Throughout her career, Pauline has enjoyed advising a wide range of business teams within the dynamic renewable-energy sector. At Canadian Solar, she is engaged in helping the company respond to shifting global energy needs driven by emerging technologies such as electric vehicles and artificial intelligence. She finds the pace and innovation of the industry both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Pauline credits her team’s success to a focus on collaboration, clear communication, and strong project-management skills. Before joining Canadian Solar, Pauline served as Legal Counsel at Tim Hortons and, earlier in her career, as a Senior Associate at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. She also held an academic leadership role as Assistant Director of IP Osgoode and Visiting Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School.
Pauline holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and LLB/BCL degrees from McGill University. She speaks English, French, and Chinese.
