Founded in 1991 in Istanbul, Mavi is globally recognised as a highly successful lifestyle brand. With roots in the denim industry, it has quickly evolved into an international apparel brand for both men and women. The legal department at Mavi takes part in a range of activities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the protection of personal data monitoring. In addition, the team plays a key role in the implementation of compliance processes within the company. In order to keep on top of new regulations, team members also partake in regular seminars on consumer law, competition law, intellectual and industrial rights and workshops in a number of areas. Most notably, in 2017, the legal department was involved in Mavi launching an IPO in Turkey’s largest deal since 2013.
