Career Biography
As the chief in-house lawyer and legal advisor for SII Romania, I am responsible for providing legal counsel to the executive leadership and board of directors. My role involves overseeing all legal matters, including ensuring regulatory compliance, managing legal risks, handling corporate governance, and guiding strategic business decisions.
I also serve as the International CSR and Performance Coordinator within SII Group, overseeing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), management systems, and operational performance across SII Romania, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, the UK, India, and the USA.
SII Romania is a leading technology company that delivers digital software, software engineering, and IT outsourcing services and solutions tailored to clients’ needs. SII Romania is part of the multinational corporation SII Group, a leader in technological engineering solutions, with over 40 years of experience in creating, developing, and providing services in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
What are the most significant cases, projects or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?
As General Counsel of an IT services and consultancy company, I have recently led several key client negotiations involving complex digital transformation and service agreements, ensuring compliance with data protection and cross-border regulations. Internally, I have overseen the development and implementation of our CSR and Ethics framework, including new policies, training, and governance processes to strengthen our culture of integrity and sustainable growth.
How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
During periods of instability, I focus on aligning legal strategy with business priorities, identifying and mitigating risks that could impact operations, and enabling agile decision-making. By providing practical, commercially-oriented guidance, I help ensure the organization remains resilient, compliant, and able to capitalize on opportunities even in uncertain conditions.
How can general counsel foster a corporate culture that supports ESG principles and compliance across all levels of the organization?
As General Counsel, I foster an ESG and compliance-focused culture by embedding these principles into corporate strategy, policies, and processes, aligning them with business goals, providing targeted training, and ensuring accountability—so ethical and sustainable practices drive long-term performance and reputation.
What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this?
As General Counsel, I am particularly passionate about corporate ethics and responsible business practices, including ESG and CSR initiatives. I believe that fostering a culture of integrity and sustainability not only strengthens the organization’s reputation and compliance but also drives long-term value for employees, clients, and society. This aligns with my professional mission to ensure that business growth and ethical responsibility go hand in hand.
How does your team contribute to the overall business strategy of the company? Can you share an example of a recent legal-led initiative that had a significant impact?
As General Counsel, my team contributes to the company’s business strategy by integrating legal, regulatory, and compliance considerations into decision-making, enabling confident growth. Recently, we were part of the international team that implemented a comprehensive CSR and Ethics framework across the SII Group, which strengthened compliance, enhanced our reputation with clients and partners, and supported new business opportunities and long-term strategic goals.
