Career Biography

Karolina Sulma is the head of legal at Skanska Commercial Development Poland and has led the company’s legal team in Poland for the past nine years. She oversees the full development lifecycle and real estate sale transactions, supervising the legal team responsible for land acquisitions, office development projects, lease negotiations, as well as ethics and compliance matters.

In her role, she works closely with the company’s senior leadership team and regional directors responsible for Skanska’s office markets in Poland. Within Skanska Commercial Development Europe, she also supports transaction activities across Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Hungary. Karolina serves as an Ethics Officer for Skanska Commercial Development Europe, ensuring that the company’s values and ethical standards are embedded in daily practice and business operations.

Karolina graduated from the Jagiellonian University with a degree in law, completed postgraduate banking studies and the American Law School program, and finalized her advocate training with the Warsaw Bar Association. She is a qualified advocate (Polish bar attorney) and gained professional experience at leading law firms before joining Skanska. She also serves as a Board Member of the REIT Association in Poland.
