Career Biography

Veronica Rodriguez serves Executive Vice President, Co-General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media company. In this role, she leads the global legal functions across corporate, compliance, distribution & partnerships, real estate & facilities, procurement, IT and privacy in addition to overseeing Government Affairs. 

Since joining the company in 2021, Rodriguez has played a key role in TelevisaUnivision’s strategic transformation and global expansion, guiding major transactions and strengthening corporate governance across the enterprise. 

A seasoned corporate attorney and trusted adviser to the company’s executive leadership and Board of Directors, Rodriguez oversees global legal strategy across governance, M&A, capital markets, and cross-border transactions. Since joining TelevisaUnivision in October 2021, she has helped guide the company through transformative moments – including the company’s landmark 2022 merger – and has been instrumental in shaping its governance framework and advancing its growth as a global media leader. 

Before joining TelevisaUnivision, Rodriguez spent more than 15 years in private practice at some of the world’s most prestigious international law firms, including Paul Hastings LLP and Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, where she advised Fortune 500 and multinational clients on complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and corporate finance transactions across more than 15 countries. 

Rodriguez has been recognised among the leading U.S. M&A Lawyers by The Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist (2018–2021), in the The Legal 500 GC Powerlist NY (2025) and as one of Latinvex’s Top 100 Female Lawyers for her work in Latin American M&A. She is also a recipient of the Executive Women of NJ Policy Maker Award, Cyrus R. Vance Center’s Women in the Profession Exemplary Contributions Award and the Empire State Counsel designation from the New York State Bar Association in recognition of her outstanding pro bono service.
