As a Global General Counsel with 25 years of international experience, I serve as a dedicated advisor to multinational Boards and Executive Committees. My work is centered on the alignment of legal strategy with core business objectives, balancing growth and profitability with a disciplined, proactive approach to governance in an evolving global landscape.

I believe the modern General Counsel must master the balance between guardianship and commercial enablement. My role is to protect the organization’s integrity while applying seasoned judgement and pragmatic leadership to bridge legal complexity and strategic growth.

I am a staunch advocate for social mobility and the diversification of talent, believing that the strongest organisations are built on meritocracy. I am equally committed to mentoring the next generation of leaders to ensure the profession continues to evolve and thrive.

I lead an integrated global legal and contracting function, managing a diverse team that operates across multiple jurisdictions. In a landscape where the majority of our commercial endeavours are cross-border, I focus on the strategic synchronization of legal risk mitigation with commercial objectives. This requires a nuanced understanding of international legal and regulatory requirements and the ability to maintain global standards while respecting local realities.

In addition to my role as General Counsel, I serve as the Chair of a Supervisory Board within my group of companies. This dual mandate provides me with a practical understanding of fiduciary responsibility and the commercial drivers necessary to bridge the gap between legal oversight and business execution.
