Have you had any experiences during your career as a lawyer that stand out as particularly unique or interesting?

During my long-standing employment at SAP, I have found that empathy, understanding of customer concerns, and building trust and a deep relationship with the customer is key.

Based on your experiences in the past year, are there any trends in the legal or business world that you are keeping an eye on that you think other in-house lawyers should be mindful of?

AI is a big factor. Therefore, we have to concentrate on strategic deals which require extensive personal alignment. Standard legal drafts like liability clauses or research will be taken over completely by AI in the near future.

What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this?

I’m passionate about finding, even under challenging circumstances and especially the current economic situation, a solution or compromise with our customers and therefore support the growth of the business at SAP.
