Career Biography

She has more than 14 years of experience in the Legal sector, in which she has led projects for the implementation of Criminal Economic Compliance programs and Personal Data Protection, Data Privacy, Risk, and Cyber Security Management Systems.

She is currently the Compliance Officer and DPO at Tigo Ecuador. From this position, she defines and coordinates the Criminal Economic Compliance and Cybercompliance programs. She additionally performs all the roles provided by the Ecuadorian/European regulations regarding DPO, as well as all those provided by the company’s corporate regulations.

She graduated in Law from the University of Extremadura in Cáceres, Spain. She completed a one-year Erasmus scholarship in Law at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik. She has a Master in Economic Criminal Compliance from the International University of La Rioja, Spain.

Beatriz has given presentations in Compliance, Data Protection, Data Privacy and Cybersecurity, forums in Ecuador, Peru, and San Francisco (USA), she is also a University Professor and she has been part of specialised commissions in Criminal Economic Compliance in Ecuador and Spain.
