Carlos is a Colombian-qualified attorney with over 15 years of experience in legal, compliance, and corporate affairs. He currently serves as head of legal, compliance, corporate social responsibility, and government r elations at Mazda de Colombia.

Throughout his career, Carlos has worked across different industries in both in-house roles and private practice, building a solid foundation in commercial and labour law, corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and public-private engagement. His approach emphasises delivering clear, business-aligned legal guidance while upholding high standards of integrity and risk awareness.

At Mazda, Carlos leads several core support functions and serves as a key advisor to senior leadership. His responsibilities include internal policy development, regulatory oversight, and institutional engagement, all contributing to a culture of transparency and sound decision-making.

Carlos participated in Mazda’s Global Leadership Development Program (GLDP 2025), an initiative aimed at preparing future leaders for broader business responsibilities. The program has reinforced his ability to think strategically, collaborate across functions, and support long-term corporate objectives.
