Kristina Milbourn is an experienced technology lawyer and Head of Litigation at Rogers Communications, one of Canada’s largest telecommunications companies, where she leads a national team. She is the founder of Rogers’ Piracy Lab and Content Protection team and was the chief strategist behind Canada’s first-ever dynamic site-blocking decision to protect copyright in live sports broadcasts. Kristina also chairs Rogers’ law student programme, which she established in 2020 to help diversify the legal talent pipeline in corporate Canada. She has provided expert testimony on copyright reform and internet policy before Parliamentary committees in Canada, at the White House Office of the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator, and on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Kristina serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, the Alumni Advisory Council and Admissions Committee for Western Law School, and chairs the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada’s (IPIC) Copyright Committee and Internet and Technology Committee.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Western University, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School. In 2025, Kristina received the Canadian Bar Association’s In-House Lawyers Award for ‘Action in Diversity and Inclusion,’ recognising her work in reducing barriers to entry in the legal profession and fostering inclusive work environments.
