As Chief Legal and Corporate Services Officer at Draganfly Inc., Deborah leads the legal, human resources, and information technology functions of a publicly traded company providing innovative drone solutions across various industries. With over 20 years of experience in business law, corporate governance, and digital strategy, she is dedicated to delivering value to stakeholders and advancing the company’s vision and mission.
Before joining Draganfly in 2022, Deborah held senior executive roles at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), where she oversaw legal frameworks, governance, compliance, and corporate secretary functions, as well as technology and business transformation initiatives. She also served as General Counsel at Aimia (Aeroplan), where she was a member of the executive leadership team and practised across multiple areas of law.
In addition to her executive and legal career, Deborah serves as an active board member and advisor for several organisations, including Arthritis Society Canada, Crewdle, GeoSimple, Canadian Lawyer Magazine, and the McGill Women’s Mentoring Program. She has been recognised as a global counsel, a top Canadian general counsel, and a leader of a high-performing legal team.
Deborah holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a lifelong learner, having completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School, the University of Toronto, and Ivey Business School. She is also an ESG enthusiast, committed to sustainability and social responsibility.
