Can you please give us an idea of the sort of work your team has done recently (cases, transactions, projects)?
Recent work undertaken by our team includes the successful completion of seven M&A transactions, reflecting our continued focus on strategic growth and portfolio optimisation. Alongside this, we concluded a large-scale programme aimed at reducing the number of legal entities within the organisation, thereby decreasing both legal and operational complexity.
We have also achieved a notable reduction in the number of litigation cases globally, demonstrating our commitment to effective dispute resolution and proactive risk management. In parallel, we have negotiated long-term agreements with key suppliers and major customers, supporting the company’s long-term commercial stability.
How does your legal strategy change during periods of instability or uncertainty?
There is no isolated legal strategy. The legal strategy follows the company’s strategy and its short-term goals. In times of instability or uncertainty, legal resources are allocated to the areas the company wishes to prioritise.
Do you make use of any ‘legal tech’ products, and if so, for which areas of your job do you find it most useful? (E.g. billing, contract drafting, e-discovery, case management etc.)
We use some tools provided by external counsel. In addition, we have developed a legal chatbot for the organisation.
