Ainhoa Pozzi

Legal Vice President | Aramark

I am a passionate executive with over 17 years of experience in top-tier law firms and national/multinational companies. Currently, I serve as Legal Vice President for Latin America at Aramark, a leading multinational company in food services and facilities management, operating in 16 countries, with annual regional revenues of over USD 1 billion (USD 17 billion globally) and more than 28,000 employees (270,000 in total).

My legal journey began at Morales & Besa, a leading Chilean firm, and continued at ENAP, Chile’s state-owned oil company, where I embraced the in-house legal world. Today, I lead legal operations across Chile, Argentina, and Mexico, managing a high-performing and engaged legal team, and coordinating external advisors to ensure efficient resource management.

I actively contribute to global and regional committees on ethics, innovation, sustainability, technology/AI, and DEI, with a strong focus on gender equity and inclusive leadership. As part of my innovation efforts, I led the internal development of the first AI-powered legal tool for Aramark’s legal team, enhancing efficiency, engagement and knowledge sharing across jurisdictions. I proudly serve on Aramark’s Latin American Executive Committee, reporting directly to the International Legal VP in Philadelphia.

My mission is to provide strategic, high-quality legal counsel that drives growth, innovation, and sustainability, while upholding ethical standards and adapting to complex regional challenges. I’m known for my collaborative approach, strong negotiation skills, and ability to resolve crises with agility and empathy.

Beyond titles and milestones, I’m defined by purpose, discipline, and joy. As a former national rhythmic gymnastics’ athlete, I represented Chile in international competitions from a young age. That experience shaped my character — teaching me resilience, humility, and how to thrive under pressure. Despite demanding training schedules, I graduated top of my class and earned full scholarships throughout law school, a testament to my lifelong drive to excel with heart.

At Aramark, I’m recognized not only for my legal leadership but also for the energy and warmth I bring to every space. I believe in leading with empathy, authenticity, and genuine collaboration, connecting with people and building trust.

I’m deeply committed to advancing women’s leadership and inclusion. I launched the first Regional Reverse Mentoring Program for emerging female talent and serve as Executive Sponsor of the “Empower” Employee Resource Group, impacting men and women across the organization. I also mentor young professionals through Abogadas In-House Chile (AIH) and volunteer with partners as América Solidaria and La Protectora de la Infancia, supporting social impact initiatives.

Additionally, I serve as a judge for Leading Lawyers Chile and collaborate with ComplianceLatam to strengthen professional standards and ethical practices across the region. Throughout my career, I’ve received multiple recognitions, including Leading Woman by WEF, GC Teams Powerlist, and finalist for Chilean Executive of the Year 2024 (General Counsels category). Most recently, I was honored as an SW50 Winner, recognizing Chile’s 50 most influential women leaders and as Leading Lawyer 2025 In-House category.

Above all, I strive to inspire others to believe in their worth, cultivate their strengths, and lead with courage — because when we lead with purpose, we multiply opportunities far beyond ourselves.

What do you consider to be the main challenge currently facing corporate legal departments, and how do you address it in your role?

The main challenge is leading the transformation of legal departments toward a strategic, agile, and value-driven model. Today, in-house legal teams are key drivers of sustainable growth, institutional integrity, and corporate value. In my role, I integrate technology and organizational design to maximize impact, focusing human intelligence on what truly matters. I promote structural efficiency, talent development with a systemic vision, and a culture of accountability — aligning personal conviction with corporate purpose to foster coherence, trust, and authentic leadership.

What do you believe are the greatest challenges facing the legal profession as a whole today?

The legal profession must reinvent itself in the face of automation, regulatory complexity, and the growing demand for ethical leadership. The challenge lies in evolving from technical experts with business acumen to architects of sustainable solutions — equipped with critical thinking, advanced soft skills, and a legal narrative that is meaningfully connected to both business and society.
