Instead of reacting to problems, our legal team provide valuable business solutions by embedding ourselves in the company’s vision and guiding its direction. We anticipate challenges before they arise and, in doing so, craft innovative solutions that prevent negative consequences. Our approach is not to address issues in isolation, but to see them as interconnected events that can be foreseen and strategically planned for, ensuring the business can navigate its future with confidence and clarity.

What do you think are the most important attributes for a modern in-house counsel to possess?

Effective communication is crucial. In-house counsel must be able to translate complex legal concepts into clear, concise, and actionable advice and solutions for non-legal colleagues. This involves understanding the business’s needs, asking the right questions, and providing guidance that can be practically implemented. A skilled communicator builds trust and credibility, ensuring the legal department is seen as a collaborative and essential part of the business.
