Soumava Chatterjee is Assistant General Counsel and Director at Bank of America and spearheads the legal and compliance coverage for the bank’s infrastructure and sustainable financing business across the Asia-Pacific region. A solutions-focused legal professional with over 15 years of managing and leading transactions, Soumava serves as the primary point of contact and is responsible for providing strategic legal counsel and partnering with business to shape business strategy and drive business growth. He oversees cross-functional stakeholder relationships, collaborates with key stakeholders, drives decision-making on business-critical issues, and manages legal and compliance risks across dynamic regulatory environments in the APAC region.

He is qualified to practice in Australia (NSW) and India and draws on a sophisticated understanding of the market and commercial perspective from his time in private practice with pre-eminent firms in Singapore, Australia, and India where he advised a full spectrum of market participants on large, complex cross-border transactions, primarily leveraged, acquisitions and infrastructure and transition financings across Asia.
