Career Biography

Lifen Tang is Director, Legal at OMERS Global Credit, where she leads the legal function of OMERS at Global Credit for the Asia Pacific region. Her experience includes cross-border direct and indirect investments in credit funds and public and private credit investments across the capital stack of companies. She is well versed in fund formation, cross-border investment and compliance regulations, M&A, fund- and credit-investments-related disputes, corporate governance and corporate secretarial work. Prior to this, Lifen was Group General Counsel at a private credit fund headquartered in Hong Kong, and Director at Ashurst ADTLaw, leading the Singapore banking & finance practice. She trained and worked at Allen & Overy LLP, in London then Singapore. Lifen studied law at Jesus College, University of Cambridge, graduating with an MA in Law. She is qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, and as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore.
